Summary
In a near-future West African city, power is protected not by law, but by rival spirit gangs—elite syndicates inspired by Yakuza tradition and African spiritual lore. Judah Jacob Mensah, a poor young recruit, is inducted into the House of the Red Sun. Though starting at the lowest rank, Judah’s instinct, strength, and courage set him apart.
As gang wars intensify and elite corruption deepens, Judah rises through the ranks, becoming a protector of both his clients and the powerless caught between rival syndicates. Haunted by visions tied to his spirit, he learns his destiny may either unite the gangs into a ruling dynasty or burn the system to the ground.
