Summary
Black Gold: Defender Prince follows Prince Owusu-Ansa, a royal heir forced into exile as a child after his father is killed in a tribal war in Ghana. He escapes with his mother to the United Kingdom, growing up disconnected from his homeland, carrying only a sacred family pendant tied to royal blood and rumored to grant great power.
Years later, Owusu-Ansa is an archaeologist at the Atlas Museum in the UK when a call from his cousin draws him back to Ghana during the Year of Return. Traveling from Heathrow to Accra, he clings to the pendant, hoping the journey will unlock the truth about his ancestry. On arrival, Accra’s symbols of independence and history awaken something dormant within him.
While walking alone at night, he is attacked by armed robbers. In defending himself, the pendant activates, unleashing blinding power and driving his attackers away. Unknown to him, the event is witnessed by a secret group, The Order of the Tribes Men, whose leader, Commander Arthur Ankrah, declares, “The king has returned.”
Rather than reclaim a throne, Owusu-Ansa chooses a different path. Backed by his powerful lineage, immense family resources, and advanced tools—including a black Shelby Mustang and royal-forged weapons—he becomes Black Gold, a vigilante protector of his people, fighting not for a crown, but for Ghana’s future.
