Summary
Set in Western Togoland, 2 Gun Agbenyega follows Samuel “2 Gun” Agbenyega (Sammy 2Ga), the second son of a Togolese textile trader whose life is shaped by violence and loss. At fifteen, Samuel loses his elder brother Francis, a member of the separatist Anti-Togolese Faction (ATF), during a deadly shootout with police that also kills a senior officer. The incident fuels Samuel’s hatred for the police and pushes him into a troubled youth marked by bad choices and a criminal record—despite a promise to his grieving mother not to end up like his brother.
As gun smuggling floods the streets and crime spirals out of control, Samuel arms himself with two pistols purely for survival. To his own surprise, he reveals an extraordinary, almost supernatural mastery of firearms—speed, precision, and instinct that earn him the name “2 Gun.” Meanwhile, the ATF secretly prepares for a larger, more devastating revolt.
Faced with a defining choice—flee the city, join the rebellion in his brother’s honor, or help the police he despises—Samuel chooses a different path. Refusing to let the past dictate the future, he becomes a criminal informant, working from the shadows to remove guns from the streets and save lives. In doing so, he lives up to his name, Agbenyega—“life is most precious,” and stands for peace in a land on the brink of collapse.
